- Hi, I'm René de Bie, and as most of the members of the R2Buildersclub, I started my own build blog to share my experiences with building a real lifesize R2D2 droid, as known from the Starwars movies. I live in Delft, the Netherlands. I'm 51 years old, married to Mirjam, and we have 6 kids, both 3 from earlier marriages. Other hobbies are playing and recording music ( drums, guitar, keyboard ), motorcycling and computers.
